Books for Healthy Moms-to-be || 28 Weeks Pregnant

Hello Hello!

Today I want to share with you a couple books that I am loving.

After finding out we were pregnant, I went on a hunt for books to read that would help guide us into healthy living with a baby.  Now, Jacob and I are both pretty healthy individuals but by no means do we know everything there is about living healthy.  We still use chemicals, we eat dairy, we don't buy all organic.  We ain't perfect, ya'll!

What I CAN tell you however, is that we are constantly learning and making small changes towards living healthier.  With a baby on the way we figured now is the best time to make even more changes.

With the help of these two books, we are quickly learning what we can do to bring baby into the world in a healthier way and provide a safer more environmentally friendly home for us all to live.

Healthy Child Healthy World by Christopher Gavigan is the first book we bought.  We are LOVERS of Honest Company products and have been for a while now. When we found out we were pregnant I couldn't help but purchase this book with my bundle. This book covers everything you may need to know about living healthy.  I consider it my healthy living dictionary.

Topics covered include:

  • Choosing betters options for food and storing food
  • Safer toys for baby
  • Natural product for the skin and home
  • Healthy home improvement (My personal favorite right about now!)

If you are wanting to make healthy changes in your home and lifestyle, I HIGHLY recommend this book!

thekindmama by alicia silverstone is the other book I wanted to share with you.

This book takes a slightly different direction.  It's much more directed at fertility, pregnant and birth which is exactly what I liked about it.

Alicia focuses on living a more natural, calm and kinder way to dream of baby, prepare for baby, and living with baby. While I do not agree with everything in her book. There is a lot of very helpful information!

Topics in this book include:

  • Stretches for pregnancy
  • Healthy home changes
  • Bathing baby
  • and SO much more.

Do you have a favorite book that is related to healthy living with a baby? I would LOVE to hear what you like! (Blogs or YouTube channels also appreciated!)
Thanks for stopping by! <3
